Payments by the client for bridal bookings

A non-refundable retainer fee of 25% of the total cost shall be paid upon entering this agreement. A minimum booking fee of £300 is applicable for weddings booked Friday – Sunday and Bank Holidays irrespective of the services required on the event date. This can be services for the bride only or a combination of services for the bride and bridal party. This fee secures the date for delivery of the services from the artist and the administrative costs required to deliver the services, this fee is then deducted from the remaining balance owed. In addition the client understands and agrees that the artist has the right to consider other paid work offers until this time.

  • No booking, provisional or otherwise is made, until this fee is secured. Upon receipt of the retainer fee, the client will receive confirmation of their booking via email. Payment of the retainer fee confirms the acceptance of the full terms and conditions.
  • The person making the booking shall be held responsible for full and final settlement of the total amount payable to Nicola Whitfield. I (the artist) reserve the right to cancel special offers and rates at any time, with the exception of where an emailed agreement is already in place with the client.
  • Any parking costs or traffic restrictions in place at the trial or venue address must be made known in advance of the trial consultation. In circumstances when parking fees apply, this is an additional charge and will be added to the total cost of the booking. For example hotel parking and meter parking. Bookings which necessitate a very early start time (leaving home before 6 am) or that are more than one hour’s car travel from the S75 postcode region may require overnight accommodation, to ensure a fresh start on your event day. Road distances are calculated using an online journey planner.
  • I (the artist) must be informed of any issues that may affect the use of any equipment or products. You (the client) understand and agree that I am not liable for any losses or injuries as a result of failure to disclose any information pertaining to allergies, sensitivity or medical conditions which may affect services.
  • If you or members of your party have any known allergies, sensitivity or medical conditions which may affect services, you must advise the artist of these at the earliest opportunity, in advance of any date where services are to be carried out.
  • Due to GDPR any changes/alterations to the booking can only be discussed with the client responsible for the booking.

Trial Consultation

The client understands and agrees that all services performed at the trial consultation are to establish the “look” that the client wants for their event date. The client agrees and understands they are responsible for themselves and the behaviour of their party. Only the artist is to handle the artist kit. If any product or equipment is damaged beyond repair or handled making it unsanitary, costs incurred to purchase replacements will be added to the booking fee.

  • The artist can only guarantee any new “look” if the client agrees to a second paid trial consultation prior to the event date. If the client does not wish to schedule another paid trial consultation, then the client agrees and understands that the artist cannot be held liable for any unanticipated time constraints this may place on the services performed.
  • On the event day it is the responsibility of the client to ensure all members of the party are available at their pre-arranged, allocated times on the event day. No refund or compensation will be offered for delays howsoever caused.
  • If prior notice is not given by the client up to and including 60 days in advance of the event date, in writing, via email of any alterations . The client agrees and understands, if the remaining fee due is less than the full and final agreed balance, the agreed upon full and final fee will be owed to the artist regardless. The client agrees that the artist cannot be held responsible for the modification of services not originally performed by the artist. If the number of people or services is changed the client agrees and understands, if the remaining fee that would be due is less than the full and final agreed balance, the agreed total cost, as quoted is owed to the artist.

Cancellations & Postponements

At least 24 hours' notice must be given to cancel a trial consultation. In the event that the consultation is cancelled less than 24 hours in advance the full fee is payable* and a new consultation must be scheduled and paid for by a mutually agreed future date which must take place in advance of the event date.

If you wish to postpone your wedding to a future date, Nicola Whitfield MUA will endeavour to transfer the booking across to the new date subject to availability. Please note there may be a difference in the cost if the booking is moved into the next calendar year,

If you the client seeks to cancel this booking 14 days after entering this agreement but more than 42 days before your event date then the retainer fee (and trial fee, if applicable) shall be forfeited, any expenses incurred as at the date of cancellation must be paid by the client, and those paid shall also be non-refundable. No further sums will be due from the client to the artist.

IF YOU WISH TO CANCEL YOUR BOOKING YOU MUST DO SO AT THE EARLIEST OPPORTUNITY BEFORE THE DATE OF YOUR EVENT.

Prices for products and services are subject to change without notice.

I reserve the right to modify or discontinue a service (or any part or content thereof) at any time without notice. For a copy of the full terms and conditions please email [email protected]
